Woo! Life has been busy my friends and the last three weeks have felt like a blur to me. It's been a bit since my last post, and since then I feel like I've been running around like a crazy person. Finding and maintaining a good work-life balance is super important to me, but, I know that depending on what life's throwing your way it can be much easier said than done.
I wanted to share some of my personal favorite products and tips that I'm constantly using to de-stress and unwind. Hopefully this helps some of you sit back, relax, and have a moment to feel at ease.
CANDLES
I'm such a candle girl! I know this may seem like an extremely cliche recommendation, but they just put me at ease and give any space a cozier, warm feel - which if you're stressed is a must. Anderson Lilley makes some of my all-time favorite candles. They have a great variety of scents and I appreciate their burn time, aka they last forever. Some of my other favorites are shared below!
JADE ROLLER
If you do not own one of these you are missing out! I tend to clench my jaw when I'm anxious, and I can immediately feel the tension being released when I start using this. I will typically use the jade roller with oils, but you can absolutely use it alone or with any creams, or while you have a sheet mask on. There's a ton of benefits from using these handy tools, with the main focus being on stimulating blood circulation and reducing puffiness.
SET THE MOOD
I personally love reading and/or writing in times of stress. But, the key is having the right tools to set the mood and get your mind right. To help me do this, I'll spritz room mists to spread some much needed positive vibes and I occasionally will set myself up with an aroma diffuser. The room mist I previously used from Aveda is no longer available (which is great for Chris because he hated the smell), but luckily Bath and Body Works and Nordstrom has us covered! They have an enormous selection to choose from.
TEA
I have always associated tea with being relaxed, so naturally when I want to feel my most relaxed I go in the kitchen and make some tea. I don't have any specific one that I'm always reaching for, because I like trying different ones. Any sort of "sleepy time tea" is usually preferred though! It essentially is caffeine-free and usually has lavender and other soothing herbs.
BODY OILS + CREAMS
Body oils + creams are so relaxing and nourishing for your skin, so I always feel like I'm killing two birds with one stone when I use them - always a bonus. Below are some of my faves!
COMFY COZIES
I live for lounge wear and all things cozy! There is absolutely nothing that makes me happier than coming home after a long day, getting into jammies, putting on my robe (I'm cold 99% of the time) and snuggling up with a blanket. Below are some cute, fluffy finds that I'd cuddle up in any day.
MASK + RELAX
I feel like I resort to masks for everything - have a zit? mask it. Hair too dry? try a mask. Need to detox? mask.
There are few things a mask can't fix. I've previously shared a full post with some of my mask faves, but in the meantime I've rounded up a few I love and always leave me feeling my best!
