Would you believe me if I told you that I rarely use anything other than drugstore mascara?! Well, you should because it's true!
Makeup can get expensive quickly and when I first started using makeup regularly, drug store was the only thing in the budget. But, even as I've ventured out and into different product lines, higher end stores and makeup retailers I still find myself loving my drugstore mascaras the same, if not more. I compiled a list for you beauties of my top 5 favorite mascaras that I use daily AND are all under $10!
1. L'Oreal Original Voluminous Lash Mascara
This one will remain my favorite probably forever - not even kidding! I love everything about it from the formula to the brush. It never clumps and gives my lashes a serious dose of volume! I usually get it in the color Blackest Black. Typically, it ranges from $5.26 to $8.49 depending on where you pick it up. Walmart or Target is on the cheaper end!
2. Maybelline Colossal Volum' Express Mascara
Another one of my favorites! If you're looking for lots of volume and want your lashes fanned out in one sweep, you've met your match. This mascara is great for layering as well. The formula is very wet, but the brush makes it easy for lots of lash drama and no clumping. You can find this for anywhere between $5.16 to $6.99.
3. Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara
I remember seeing this everywhere on Instagram and Tumblr when it first came out, and wanted to know exactly what the hype was all about. So, naturally I ran over to Target and picked it up to try it out and OMG I realized instantly why everyone was obsessing. Not only is the formula so creamy and jet black, the brush is absolutely perfect for coating every single lash. The curve in the brush allows you to get in all those hard to miss places and be extremely precise - even for being thicker. This one is usually ranging from $6.29 to $8.99.
4. L'Oreal Telescopic Mascara
This is that perfect tiny wand that every girl must have! I love using this on my bottom lashes especially, or on those days where I want a more natural look. This is also great for length! You can find this one ranging in price from about $7.79 to $9.99.
5. Maybelline Great Lash Mascara
I feel like everyone has this in middle school, and here I am years later still using it. But, the saying goes "if it ain't broke don't fix it" right? I like this honestly just because it's simple, doesn't flake or smudge and isn't expensive. It's definitely a good one to always have around, and you won't kick yourself the next morning if this is the mascara you decide to take out with you on a night of drinking and happen to lose it (don't kid yourself, we have all had that moment). You can get this usually between $3.79 to $5.99.
